Sh. Dinkar Kumar Singh, Member, Joint Working Group for Vision @2047, Ministry of Communication, Govt. of India (GoI) delivered a Special Lecture on “Promoting Youth Leadership “to the 49 newly recruited District Youth Officers (DYOs) of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangatan (NYKS), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI at RGNIYD undergoing 15-Day Induction Training at RGNIYD.
Addressing the young officers, Sh Dinkar Singh Kumar emphasised on the key aspects of leadership i.e., being a visionary, creative and resourceful. To promote leadership in youth one has to identify these traits and then guide them to be confident, open minded, have positive thinking and overcome fear. Citing examples from his own experiences Sh. Dinkar K Singh explained how trust is important to promote leadership in youth and give them the opportunity to plan and execute the activities to achieve the objectives with the available resources . He gave the example of how in Ramayan the decision to rescue Sita was taken with the help of the locally available resources which helped to achieve the objective .
Earlier, Prof. Sibnath Deb, Director RGNIYD welcomed Sh Dinkar K Singh and said that he is example of ‘how to be a successful leader contributing to the nation’ and thanked him for agreeing to share his experiences with the DYOs.
The DYO participants interacted with Sh. Dinkar K Singh and thanked him for the guidelines and tips he has given them to promote leadership in the youth which is their main responsibility.
